I think a week ago. It just brought a lot of controversy. People are mad at me on my post. I've been seeing two different arguments, this one being that it's unethical that I got a bernedoodle. If you're somebody who thinks that, like, that is totally fine, not gonna be mad. I'm not gonna judge you. I don't know why you included the part about not judging someone for having the opinion that bernedoodles are unethical. You went to a breeder that combined two very different dogs, meaning the temperament can't be guaranteed. We really wanted just a bernedoodle puppy. I didn't want a Bernese Mountain dog, we didn't want a poodle, we just wanted a bernedoodle. And I feel like that's fine. And if you don't think that's fine, like, I said, that's fine. I really don't like zucchini or squash, but maybe if I put them together, maybe then it makes no sense. I'm curious, what was it about a Bernese Mountain dog or a poodle that you didn't want that a bernedoodle would give you? Another thing I've been seeing people talk about is how basically, I'm gonna get rid of this dog. Oh, I don't know. It probably doesn't have anything to do with the fact that you're on your third kid and your third kid will be here next month. So you rehome two dogs because you move too much, but you don't think you'll rehome your puppy because you have three kids. I've seen people who say that we're not gonna be able to give her, like, enough attention and love that she needs, or Scotty and Blakely already love playing with her all the time. And there it is. When people bring up that argument, they're likely talking about training. I'm pretty sure your toddlers are not gonna aid in any sort of training for that dog. And obviously, since you'll be busy with a newborn that training will likely not happen. Especially considering the training that you'll need to put into the dog is going to be more than just your average socialization and obedience. You'll also have to do grooming training as well. She sleeps with us at night. We might have to do a little bit of different training and a different sleep situation, but for right now, it works. Yep, right now it does work. But like you said, when the baby gets here, you'll have to change that. And guess who's probably not going to adjust to that very well? Your very young puppy. Puppies thrive on routine. So changing that routine in the midst of them growing up is going to be a very hard adjustment. Throw that on top of having to wake up at 2, 3, 4 AM to feed your child. That's a recipe for disaster. The fact that you're probably not even considering that is what concerns me for how this dog will turn out. Anyway, adopter or shopper responsibly is not going out and buying a doodle. I hope this helps.
