iPhone Duo Vs Samsung Z Fold 8 - WHO ACTUALLY COPIED WHO? The Truth Nobody Says. Apple's foldable is finally real, so let's settle it. Did Samsung copy Apple, or did Apple copy Samsung? 👇 🤝 WHAT THEY SHARE Both passport-style. Both 7.6" inner displays. Both dual cameras with no telephoto. Both side-mounted fingerprint sensors. Even peak brightness is nearly identical at 3,000 nits. 🔍 WHERE THEY SPLIT • Z Fold 8 has sharp corners all around. The Duo has rounded corners open, but two right-angled corners on the hinge side when closed • Samsung's outer screen is properly square. Apple's is flat on the left, noticeably rounded on the right • Titanium (Duo) vs aluminum (Fold 8) • IP68 vs IP48 — Apple's is dust-proof, Samsung's isn't • The Duo is 53g heavier: 254g vs 201g ⚖️ SO WHO COPIED WHO Some say Samsung copied Apple. But you can't copy a product that doesn't exist. Apple's design leaked first, sure, but leaked renders aren't a shipped product. Some say Apple copied Samsung. Except the Duo was in development long before the Z Fold 8 launched, and supply chain leaks describing this exact shape go back well before Samsung showed anything. What actually happened is both companies were solving the same problem on parallel timelines. Tall narrow foldables were uncomfortable to hold and bad to type on. Every company building one figured that out separately. And the differences prove it. If one had copied the other, you'd expect them to line up a lot closer than this. So nobody copied anybody.
