$1200 loafers vs. $100 loafers

This is boots on the ground journalism. I've been dying for the YSL burgundy patent leather loafers, but I know Steve Madden has a very similar pair. So I'm gonna go try on the YSL ones and then go to Steve Madden and try theirs and see which one I like better. These ones right here. They're so pretty. I will say the YSL ones are very comfortable. I thought they'd be more structured, but they're very mushy, but in a good way. And now I'm b-lining it to Steve Madden to try theirs. Okay, here the Steve Madden ones. They literally have the same texture leather. They are a little bit more reddish and less of that deep burgundy color. But they still have that same mushy feel as the YSL ones. I'm a true women's nine and the 39 YSL fit me perfect. Same with Steve Madden, I'm a true nine and the nine also fit me perfect. So if you don't mind the difference in the color variants, it's honestly damn near the same. I'd be lying if I didn't say like the YSL ones are better, but it's because I'm looking for that deeper burgundy color. So if anyone's thinking about a burgundy loafer this fall, I hope this helps.
