Yesterday, I picked up two pairs of Chanel ballet flats I dropped off at cobbler to have resoled so I could walk around in these shoes. But when I picked them up, I did discover that the bottom of my burgundy shoes were turned bright red. And I didn't say anything because honestly, I was gonna try to see the vision. However, after sleeping on it and seeing them with fresh eyes today, I have come to the conclusion it just doesn't look right. It just doesn't look right. And here's the thing. I do not at all wanna bash the place. I took my video down of me going there just because it didn't feel right of me to keep the video up when I no longer feel alignment with the praises that I gave them. Because I later ended up remembering that when I dropped these shoes off, I asked if I could see what they'd be putting on my shoe, and they said no because they only had one type of sole, which I reasonably assumed would be black. I handed them over, I trusted them. In return, I got a pair with black black bottoms and a pair with red bottoms. And these are not Christian Louboutin, my friends. So here's the deal. Before I pay an additional probably $200 to get these removed and redone, I thought it would be fun to start a new series where I do try to break these in every day. But with that, see how dark we can get the bottoms of these shoes. I'm convinced if I am walking around constantly in these, they can't look like this for forever. Right? We start today. We're gonna walk the dog. Let's get outside. Here's the before on this whole process, and we'll have to commit to see what the after brings. Enough chitchat. Let's get to walking. Oh, my gosh. I forgot how bad these hurt when they're fresh and not broken in. We will need to stretch these tonight. Five minutes in, my right big toe is already numb. Yay! What I've learned is that it does get better if you just commit and, like, don't stop walking. But the initial five minutes are the worst parts it will ever be. But it gets so much easier every time. It's just the first time. It's like, ooh. I know a lot of people like to argue that it's really stupid to pay over $1,000 for a pair of shoes that hurt to walk in. That is a totally valid opinion. But here's the way I look at it. It is possible to make the shoe fully comfortable, but that does take time and effort. If you are willing to put in that time and effort into making the shoe comfortable so you can wear it as much as you possibly can to where you got more than your money's worth for it. And it will last forever, because a Chanel ballet flat never goes out of style. Sure, we'll need repairs here and there. But the way I look at it is if you're paying that much upfront and investing that much period in the shoe in the first place, you are willing to pay for the upkeep on the shoe, and you're willing to invest also time to making the shoe everything and more for yourself. And some people might say that is a stupid financial decision. It's stupid cause it's materialistic. That is 1,000% valid, honestly. But there are people out there like me who just love fashion, who like just seeing how you can walk in these shoes. And that's why I make these videos. For the transparency of the commitment, financial and time that it takes to get the best bang for your buck out of your Chanel ballet flats. Okay, we are almost back. My feet feel-that was rude. Okay, we're back. And if I'm not mistaken, I believe I have the world's most exciting PR in my hands. Hey, um, time for the reveal. I have a feeling this is not gonna be very promising. It's day one. It's day one. I think we can get there. It's just gonna be these edges that are gonna be a little odd. But I'm very excited to be breaking in a brand new pair of ballet flats, even given the circumstances. Thank you so much for watching. I'll see you later. Bye.
