ad. This brand new restaurant in Sunderland is home to the first cheese belt in the North and it's like nothing I've ever seen before. This is Black's Corner inside the brand new Culture House in Sunderland, and it is one seriously impressive dining space. Step inside and you'll discover olive green seating, marble, warm lighting, cosy booths and a cheese belt running right through the middle of the restaurant. Pull up a stool at the cheese bar, order yourself a wine flight and get ready to be amazed as a moving belt of British farmhouse cheeses and charcuterie glides past your seat, all beautifully displayed under little glass domes. The menu is colour coded by price, with descriptions of every plate, so simply look out for the ones you want to try, grab them off the belt and enjoy.  You’re given a tasting sheet to keep track of what you’ve tried, and the pairings are beautiful, think Cornish Yarg with stem ginger, Northumberland Nettle with rose and strawberry jam and Ticklemore Goats Cheese with Cherries in Kirsch.    Served alongside it is a carefully chosen wine list designed to complement the menu and at this point I’m starting to think they may have created my dream restaurant. And it’s not just about the belt. Black's Corner serves everything from breakfast and coffee to small plates, wine and cocktails, taking you right through from morning to evening.
