If you want your skin to look like literal glass at 54 years old, keep watching. I'm at CVS and I'm going to do an honest no BS review of everything I personally use and what I would never want within a 6-foot radius of my face as a 54-year-old esthetician. Vanicream gets a 9 out of 10. It's boring in the best way. It cleanses your skin without stripping the crap out of your barrier and mature skin does not need an aggressive cleanser every day. This glycolic acid cleanser gets a 7 out of 10. Glycolic acid can help with dullness and texture, but I would not use this every single day because over-exfoliating aging skin will backfire so fast. These are a 2 out of 10 for me. Fine in an emergency, but rubbing your face with a harsh wipe and calling it cleansing? Absolutely not, especially if you're trying to protect mature skin. This Vichy Vitamin C is a 9 out of 10. Vitamin C is one of the best ingredients for anti-aging because it helps with brightness, uneven tone, and protecting your collagen from oxidative stress. Noxzema is honestly a 1 out of 10 for me. I know some of you have used this forever, but if my goal is calm, hydrated, healthy, aging skin, this is nowhere near my face. This RoC eye cream is a solid 9 out of 10. Retinol and peptides are going to target those wrinkles, unlike an overpriced cream that does nothing else. This isn't skincare, but this supplement is a 100 out of 10 for anti-aging. Spirulina is probably the most underrated thing for looking younger because it works from the inside. Spirulina naturally has antioxidants, iron, plant protein, chlorophyll, minerals. It's just insanely nutrient dense. And most people don't know, if your body is consistently lacking key nutrients, you will look and age so much faster. I really like this Spirulina. It's from the brand Auvina. I take three of these capsules every day without fail and the results speak for themselves. But for some reason, they're like triple the price here at CVS compared to their website. So do not buy it here. I linked them in my bio if you want to try it or just search Auvina Spirulina on Google.
