5 more hills I'll die on. Kareem Elhage, Dermatology Resident. Let's do this again. One. Biotin can hide a heart attack. The FDA has it on record that biotin hid a heart attack on a blood test and the patient actually ended up dying. Biotin supplements have never grown hair on a healthy person in any study. Every case where it actually worked had a rare disorder or deficiency behind it. Two. Dandruff is a yeast, and the oil your scalp is feeding it. What actually fixes it is an antifungal shampoo. Three. Retinol and retinoids do not thin your skin. The peeling is the dead layer underneath, the living skin gets thicker and makes collagen. Four. Clean beauty isn't actually safer. 94% of "clean" products actually contain an allergen. Parabens, the thing they say they removed, actually reacts in about 1% of people. Five. Skim milk is worse for acne than whole milk. The fat was as usual, argue with me in the comments.
