Why it worked

The 'ordered vs. worn' format provides immediate social proof and utility for online shoppers, reducing the perceived risk of buying clothes from a massive marketplace like SHEIN.

Summary

The creator presents a series of clothing items ordered from the SHEIN marketplace, alternating between the official product listing images and mirror selfies showing how the items look when worn. The post serves as a haul and style review of various pieces sourced from the platform.

Product placement

(a) SHEIN: The marketplace platform where the items are purchased and displayed. It acts as the primary shopping destination for the haul. (b) POESELLE, MUSERA, AiiRZ, MISSGUIDED, ROMWE: These are individual clothing brands/labels sold within the SHEIN marketplace. They appear as product listings. Removing these names would change the specific product being showcased, but the video's function as a SHEIN haul remains.
