Poland sounded air raid sirens and sent up fighter jets on September 17 as a Russian drone flew toward its border. Military commanders tracked the drone while civilian authorities closed two airports and ordered nearby residents to shelter. The drone came down about two miles inside Ukraine, and Poland says nothing crossed its border.
