Yemen’s war has returned to full-scale fighting after four years, with more than 200,000 people displaced since September as the Houthis seize the Red Sea coast and nearly surround the city of Taiz. The truce collapsed after the Houthis allowed an Iranian aircraft to land in Sanaa, defying Saudi control of Yemen’s airspace. Saudi jets are now bombing the capital, while the Houthis are attacking Saudi airports and threatening Saudi shipping. With Iran shutting down the Strait of Hormuz, Saudi oil is being redirected through the Red Sea, where the Houthis now threaten the southern entrance. #Yemen #Houthis #SaudiArabia #Iran #IranWar #RedSea #MiddleEast #Geopolitics
