Let me teach you how to successfully grow carrots like these. Carrots are a root crop and therefore they need a soil that's nice, light and airy to successfully grow in. So you're gonna mix in sand to your raised bed. Make sure the raised bed is either potting soil or raised bed mix, compost. Mix in this sand. I'm breaking mine up cause I've used this bed so many times. I wanna make sure the soil is not compacted. That's gonna help with the carrots successfully growing. Blend in some of the raised, which is a granular fertilizer from True Organic. All of that up. Soil is nice, light and fluffy. We're gonna have successful carrots. So we're gonna grab our carrot seeds and we're gonna be using seed tape. Carrot seeds are making it hard for them to handle and to get them to germinate. So seed tape is the option that I would recommend, especially if you had issues growing carrots in the past. From Hoss, and it's the rainbow carrot blend. Now, as you can see, the seeds are in between these two thin pieces of paper, making it really easy to handle them. So you're gonna make your trench for your carrots, and you don't follow the directions that they give you. And then you're seed tape down. It makes it super easy to handle those tiny, tiny carrot seeds, and it helps you have better germination. Lightly cover up that seed tape, and this is sow your carrot seeds. Water everything in really well. And I would companion plant. Select your companion plants based on the season you decide. Carrots are frost tolerant, grow them in the fall or early in the spring. Companion plant my carrots with garlic and also arugula, because I grew them late in the winter. I also put some other alternatives companion plant with on the screen based off when you grow your carrot. Pay attention to what the seed packet says, know how long for your carrot seeds to germinate. And it'll also when you can expect to be harvesting your carrots. Different varieties of carrots, to make sure you're paying attention to what the seed packet says, so you know exactly when your harvest will be ready. And if you're ready to learn how to grow your own food, I actually created a course just for you. It's called Grow Vegetable Gardening for Beginners. Now, I'll have the information for the course as well as the seed tape down below. Happy gardening.
