To all of you traveling parents out there, did you know that if you have Global Entry, you can get your kids Global Entry for free? That means they'll have Global Entry and TSA PreCheck since TSA PreCheck is included in Global Entry. Let me explain. So I was just on the US Customs and Border Protection website looking at the eligibility for Global Entry. And if you scroll down towards the bottom of the page, you'll see the requirements for children. And it says there is no minimum age requirement for Global Entry. However, if you are under the age of 18, you must have your parent or legal guardian's consent to participate in the program. Your parent or legal guardian does not have to be a Global Entry member. Regardless of your age, you must: Create a Global Online Enrollment System account; Pay a $120 non-refundable application fee, the only exception is for minors (under 18) with a legal guardian enrolled in the program or in pending status the fee for the minor is waived; and Schedule an interview at a Global Entry Enrollment Center. If you are under the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian must be present at time of interview. So if you have Global Entry and you have kids under 18, you might as well get it for them too because it's free. Financial knowledge is power. Please like and follow for more.
