I’ve seen a vast array of strange assumptions about me over the years. I advised women not to eat carrots?! Never happened! I LOVE carrots so much my I have carotenoderma! I faked my cancer diagnosis for attention? Unfortunately, not true. I was diagnosed with Stage 1B Cervical Cancer on Mayb1st 2019. So grateful to be healthy and well now. “Accusations” of an eating disorder flare every now and then. I don’t have an eating disorder. I’ve never had one. I love to exercise and eat well. That’s it. Throwing “anorexia” around as an insult does a disservice to the people who actually do have the illness. Was I sacked during Covid? No. I moved from one job to another but the decision was all mine. People say I’m a loner. Partially true I guess. I have a weak social battery and like my own company. Being at home with my family is my happy place. I didn’t like my job in hospital medicine? It just didn’t suit me. I was grieving my sister. I was sleep deprived. Never saw daylight, my family or friends. Couldn’t exercise or eat properly. I just wasn’t in a good place at that time. I was so much happier when I moved to General Practice. I failed loads of exams too apparently! Not true. I’ve never failed an exam. Not saying I’m a genius. Just good at information recall. I don’t drink? True! I used to though! But I gave it up once I started working as a doctor. I couldn’t keep up with nights out whilst also interning. So I quit and never went back! I lied about being a lecturer at Medical School? Untrue. I actually loved it! I wore a wig during the pandemic? Mortifyingly true! Face full of Botox and filler? Just Botox! No filler! And I love skincare, red light, collagen, microneedling and sun protection! I’m a weirdo! Yes. I’m as mad as a March hare 😂🙌🏼
