Visual artist Jesi Jordan creates analog video art, traditional animation and paintings that turn ordinary objects and natural materials into unexpected characters. In her series Shadow Work, Jordan uses her own shadow as the body of a figure, then places stones, leaves and other small objects on the ground to give it a face and personality. A few carefully positioned objects are enough to transform a simple silhouette into a character with an expression. As the shadow changes with the light and the artist’s movements, the image becomes a temporary artwork that exists only in that moment. #art #artist #niche #shadow #avantgarde
