FOX 5 NEW YORK NYC transit says it has deployed a fleet of emergency response equipment, including emergency trucks, debris trains and flood mitigation equipment, all to respond to flooding conditions if they should occur. The MTA also says right now, workers are inspecting and cleaning drains. We see that any time a big storm is anticipated The NYC Transit Department of Busses personnel will monitor routes for known flooding situations and have detours prepared and in place if needed. And when it comes to the Long Island Railroad and Metro-North beginning today, additional personnel will be added to identify and quickly address possible track, signal and power challenges, we're told, that could be caused by flooding, washouts. Those downed trees can also be a big problem and other potential storm damage is also something that they're on alert for. Here's MTA CEO Janno Lieber earlier today.
