🪔 PITRI PAK — HONORING THOSE WHO CAME BEFORE US🙏🏼🤍 Pitri Pak, also known as Pitru Paksha, is a sacred period in the Hindu tradition dedicated to remembering and honoring our ancestors who have passed on. During this time, families offer prayers, water (tarpan), food, flowers, and other offerings with love and gratitude. It is a time to remember our grandparents, great-grandparents, and generations of ancestors whose lives, sacrifices, traditions, and blessings helped shape who we are today. For me, it is also a beautiful reminder that we are part of something much bigger than ourselves. So much of what we carry—our traditions, recipes, stories, values, faith, and culture—was passed down through generations. 🕉️ Pitri Pak gives us a moment to slow down, remember their names, share their stories with our children, and express gratitude for the path they created before us. Traditions and specific rituals can vary between families and communities, but the heart of Pitri Pak remains the same: remembrance, respect, gratitude, and prayer for our ancestors. 🙏🏼 May our ancestors receive our offerings with peace, and may their blessings continue to guide and protect the generations that follow. 🤍🪔🕉️
