I flew economy on a nine hour flight to Europe. So let's talk about it. Justin and I went to Italy for the first leg of our trip, specifically Rome, and we were so excited. I'm SO happy & thankful that we didn't have to sit in the rows with 4 seats. We bought our flights back in either March or April. And so thankfully we were booking, there were plenty of good seat options, and so we actually got a two seater on the left side of the plane, which is perfect. Which means that I got the window seat and Justin got the aisle. Obviously, one of the best things about an international flight is the fact that you get free food and free drinks no matter what class you're in. Again, we were economy. There's comfort plus, and then there's first class. We were good whether you want pop, wine, coffee, tea, whatever. I ended up getting the ravioli, Justin got a chicken dish with rice, and we're pretty satisfied. We did not touch the chickpea salad LOL. We ate about like an hour into the flight, so that's really just enough time for you to get settled, drink whatever you ordered, then you can actually sit down and enjoy your meal really quickly. Now... the roll is COLD mao. So manage your expectations there lol. On the bathroom. Of course, I was quickly reminded why I don't use the bathroom on flights. I typically try to avoid using the bathroom on flights, but again, nine hours, you gotta get up and you gotta use the bathroom at least once. So I did, and it was smaller than I remembered, so didn't love that experience. Also, speaking of space, I think that was our biggest problem with this flight. Our highly rated neck pillows were NOT comfortable & the limited leg room for 9 hours was tough for us both. I think we both maybe got two and a half hours of sleep total, and it was not consecutive. It was on and off. In total, the flight was pretty good. Like, the food was good, the entertainment, the free Wi-Fi was good. They had outlets at each seat. What more could you ask for when it comes to that? I just wish we had a little bit more leg room, and I wish we would have been able to get a little bit more comfortable on our flight. But maybe if we upgrade to Comfort Plus, next time, we will have that experience. So I would definitely fly economy again, especially on Delta. But I'm really itching to see what, like, a business class or first class experience would be like. So hopefully that happens one day.
