tahiti we're going to be spending 10 days on the island of mo'orea 🏝️ i'm a girl with travel anxiety 🥺 we have a 30 hour travel day and spoiler alert we stop at disneyland during our layover and i ended up surprising cj with delta one lay down seats for our long haul flight ✈️ our morning started off early at the fort lauderdale airport but started strong because our luggage was under weight and i was nervous because we challenged ourselves to pack both of our clothes in only one checked bag we were also nervous for cj's dive gear to make it through security but everything went smoothly and they were really nice and let us gate check his bag if you're watching this and wondering why tahiti it is actually to swim with the whales it's been on cj's bucket list and there's only a few places you can do it in the world we went into the delta lounge to grab some breakfast before boarding our first flight to lax as an anxious girly who does wanna travel and see the world but is just nervous i wish i was as chill as my husband because he literally falls asleep before the plane even takes off but i'm someone who has to be watching the flight tracker basically the whole flight our flight from fort lauderdale to lax was only about five and a half hours which really didn't feel too bad i went ahead and put in my heatless curls and my goal for the first flight was to get comfy and go ahead and edit my whole youtube pack and prep vlog if you aren't subscribed to my youtube channel yet i will be vlogging our trip and posting long form videos over on youtube and my pack and prep vlog is posted and over an hour long so you're definitely gonna need to grab a snack if you wanna watch that one you'll hear more about our trip but while i was editing that super long video i wanted to turn on a comfort movie so of course i had to turn on moana 🌺 the island that we're going to is actually one of the islands that inspired the movie moana so i'm so excited to see it in person the flight was a little bumpy and again i wish i could be as chill as mr jordyn but the crispy coca cola and biscof cookies are my favourite did end up waking up a couple hours into the flight and his airplane movie of choice was avatar we still had a very long travel day ahead but we are getting excited because we started to see tahiti on the flight map we landed safely in los and this is where things get a little fun and interesting because we had a 13 hour layover at lax so we ended up renting a car we love turo i feel like they just make things so easy and if you know me you already know where i wanted to go the los angeles traffic is not for the week but it was all worth it when we we got to disneyland 🤪 i filmed a whole separate california adventure vlog that you guys are gonna see soon we spent a few hours in the park during our layover and it really was so much fun but at this point we were starting to get tired because we had almost been up for two 24 hours and we gave ourselves plenty of time to get back to the airport because of la traffic we booked our flight through delta but our second flight was actually run by air france so we headed to the lounge i've never really thought i would shower in an airport but after disneyland this airport shower brought me back to life it felt so nice and i was so refreshed i got to do my skincare and put my comfy clothes on for our long flight the air france lounge at lax was actually really nice and i did really enjoy the buffet so we made sure to grab something to eat and even got some desserts and some fun drinks but it was finally time to board our flight to tahiti and i was getting so excited for cj to realize that we were going to be actually more comfortable than he thought in the lay down seats one thing about cj is he will just be showing up and i will be doing all the planning won't even know what gate we're going to what airline we're on so this was so fun to surprise him i fear i do have to say that the business class seats on long haul flights are worth it they gave us everything we needed to be as comfortable as possible they even had a little goody bag for us with some travel essentials they did serve a dinner and a breakfast this was our first time flying air france and honestly it was really really nice and i think by this video you can tell that mr jordyn was definitely enjoying the lay down seat anxiety no 1 the wi fi wasn't working on this flight and wasn't gonna be working the whole entire time but my goal was to get as comfy as possible and try and fall asleep my anxiety is the worst in a car and on a plane and honestly i just have a hard time falling asleep anyway so i don't know why i thought these lay down seats would just take away my anxiety completely here's me fighting for my life to drink some water i was able to fall asleep for a little bit but i think laying down i just felt every single bump and it made me a little nauseous and this is where i started to spiral remember that i'm the girl who has to be watching the flight tracker to make sure we're going the right way and i realised our plane wasn't moving our flight time and our estimated arrival time just kept going up so i did start to freak out a little bit and woke cj up who was fast asleep no issues and he turned on the meditation and told me that i should do that on the tv 😂 i wish i was someone who didn't always assume that something was wrong or that something bad was gonna happen but happy to say that after staring at the screen for three to four hours our plane was not lost and actually just lost service to the flight tracker i closed my eyes for a little bit longer before they started to serve breakfast 10 out of 10 recommend the croissant that was yummy and we realized you could actually play games on the tv together and i wish i would have known this because i would have played this with cj the whole time instead of him getting sleep and me sitting there being anxious but after a long long travel day we finally landed in tahiti 😭 and we were so so excited and happy to be here also proud of myself because i did not think i was gonna make it through the flights and and i did and it's so worth it now that we're here this trip is honestly the biggest trip that cj and i have ever taken together even bigger than our honeymoon happy to say that our luggage got here no problems and the first thing we did was exchange currency look how pretty the money is here after all that stress on the plane we actually ended up making the 6:00am ferry which we originally thought we would be on the 8:00am ferry as we pulled up to the island we saw the most beautiful beautiful full bright rainbow and honestly it just feels so surreal that we're actually here the first thing we did off the ferry was get our rental car the island is actually so small you can drive the circle in around an hour and a half to two hours so we are so excited to explore this beautiful island while we waited for our airbnb to be ready we did our first dunk in the french polynesia we will be switching airbnbs while we're here but our first airbnb is so small and cozy and a two minute
