Why it worked

The video uses a 'wait' hook to frame a simple product instruction as a necessary tip, preventing user error and increasing the perceived value of the product's unique click-dispensing mechanism.

Summary

This video provides a quick tutorial on how to properly use the SHEER UP Intense lipstick, specifically advising viewers on how many times to click the base for the first application versus subsequent uses. It highlights the product's color payoff and shine through a demonstration on the skin.

Structure

1Stop the viewer with a warning about first-time use
2Demonstrate the initial activation clicks
3Explain the standard usage for subsequent applications
4Showcase the color range and finish on skin

Product placement

(a) SHEER UP Intense: The product is operated by clicking the base to dispense the lipstick, and it is swiped on the skin to demonstrate its color and shine. Removing it would remove the entire subject of the video. (b) Flormar: The brand name appears as a watermark and in the caption. Removing it would not change the demonstration of the product itself.
