Last year my sister and I were at an all-inclusive resort in Mexico and the resort next door, so here's our resort and the resort next door was having like a neon-themed party. So we hopped on the shuttle bus from our resort and went over to their resort and we're at the party, right? And we're like, okay, party's over, let's go home. Let's go back to the resort. So we go to the front of the sister resort and we see a pair of drunk ladies that we had seen from our resort, like we recognized them because we'd seen them around. We're like, oh, they're super wasted, they're super like sloshed and they were with like this random guy. And we had never seen this guy before. This guy was not with them at our resort. Like we had seen them for days and it was just the two of them. And they were both obviously like out of it and this guy was like, oh, it's okay, it's okay. Just come with me. I'll get a car for you and I'll take care of you and blah blah blah blah blah, right? Me and my sister were like, oh hell no. So we went over there and we're like, no, we'll take them. They're at our resort and our shuttle bus is here, so we're going to get them on the shuttle bus and we're going to leave. And he tried to like fight us over them for a little bit. He's like, no, no, it's fine. I got it. Just mind your business. I'm going to take care of them, blah blah blah blah blah, right? Then I got real confrontational. I said, do you even know their names? Do you know anything about them? Why are you trying so hard to take them? Do I need to call somebody? He was like, no, no, whatever, fine. I don't even care, take them. So then we took them, it was a mom and daughter, we took them onto our shuttle bus and we're like, get on the bus, we're going back to the resort. Oh my god, on the bus ride back to our resort, they were so out of it, they didn't know what was happening, they didn't know where they were. And we were like, do you have your room key? We could find out like what room are you in and it was like a whole thing. So we make it back to our resort and I'm going through the mom's purse to look through her key card for her room and I found the card, but there's no number on the card. So I'm like, what is your room number? Where are you staying? Where is your room? And she was like, I don't remember, I don't remember. She said a bunch of different room numbers, blah blah blah blah blah. And then she finally got us the right room and we're like, oh thank god, we're going to take you to your room. So we take their little drunk butts up to their room, we back we badge the thing onto the door, the door opens, we get them into their room, we we get them to lay down in bed, there's water bottles in there, so we unscrew the water bottles, we put them next to the bedside table, we put little trash cans down, we're like, okay, stay here, stay in bed, don't leave. Don't open this door, if somebody comes knocking on the door, don't open the door, stay here. And it just shows that women are the actual protectors because us women, we're looking out for other women. Like the men that were around, they weren't doing anything, so we're like, we have to do it. And that whole situation just makes me think like what could have happened to them if my sister and I did not intervene. Like where was this man trying to take them? Why was he trying to be so adamant about taking them when we knew damn well he didn't know them? Like I just, uh, god.
