The Pentagon says the scheduled firing-squad execution of former Army Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan will be livestreamed. Hasan is scheduled for December 3 at Fort Hood, Texas. He was convicted in connection with the 2009 attack at the base that left 13 people dead and 32 others wounded. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said the execution would be public. Pentagon officials clarified Thursday that the public will be able to watch the proceeding by livestream, though the Pentagon has not released logistics. President Donald Trump approved the execution earlier this month. Acting Army Secretary Adam Telle announced the December 3 date. If carried out, it would be the first U.S. military execution in more than 65 years and the first military firing-squad execution since World War II. The date can still change. Military-law expert Eugene Fidell says Hasan could seek a habeas review in civilian federal court, potentially delaying the process for years. #army #justice #miltok #military #update #livestream
