Why it worked

The video leverages a high-value, time-sensitive discount on a popular brand, creating a sense of urgency and social proof by mentioning that others are getting it for even less.

Product placement

(a) Shark Defuffi: The creator displays the product, discusses its price drop, and recommends it to viewers. It is the subject of the video. Removing it would change the entire video. (b) Shark Beauty UK: The brand name appears in the TikTok shop interface overlay. Removing it would change the context of the product.
