Make this for your next dessert 🫶🏽 @IMOGEN STOKES: 🍫 Mumma’s Chocolate Cake Ingredients 2 cups sugar 1¾ cups plain flour ¾ cup cocoa powder 1½ tsp baking powder 1½ tsp baking soda 1 tsp salt 2 eggs 1 cup buttermilk ½ cup (125 mL) olive oil 2 tsp vanilla extract 1 cup hot water (or hot coffee) Method Preheat oven to 175°C and grease your cake tin. Mix flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Add eggs, buttermilk, olive oil and vanilla. Mix until combined. Slowly add the hot water/coffee and mix until smooth. The batter will be quite thin. Pour all the batter into one prepared cake tin. Bake for 40–50 minutes, checking from 40 minutes with a skewer. Cool completely before frosting. 🍫 Chocolate Frosting 115 g melted butter ⅔ cup cocoa powder 3 cups icing sugar ⅓ cup milk 1 tsp vanilla Beat together until smooth and fluffy. ❤️ #choccycake #cake #chocolatecake #cakerecipe #tastetest
