The farther and farther down the rabbit hole I go the more things I learn to do. I rely less and less on buying groceries and more and more on the food I have preserved in my own home. The grocery store is now the backup plan if things go sideways at home. No ingredient labels to read. No re-calls to be concerned over. Just wholesome homemade food to nourish my family. Sometimes it saves my family a lot of money to have food on hand I preserved. It sure convient too! There’s also a sense of accomplishment that’s hard to put into words. Seeing a full shelf of food that you worked so hard to do is extremely satisfying! #homemadefood #canning #homestead Home food preservation. Homemade. From scratch cooking. Canning. Homestead. Homesteading. Homesteader. Self sufficient. Self reliant. Prepper.
