A customer in Cameroon became the first person to buy an iPhone 18 Pro Max from a local reseller, receiving a welcome more commonly associated with VIP guests. Staff rolled out a red carpet, opened the store doors for him, and applauded as he chose the Dark Cherry 512GB model, reportedly costing around 1.4 million CFA francs. After completing the purchase, the customer was escorted out of the store to another round of applause as part of the retailer’s launch celebration for the new iPhone in Cameroon.
