I DON'T KNOW WHEN CHRISTIANITY BECAME A RELIGION THAT INSISTED ON MONOGAMY, BUT I HAVE SOME QUESTIONS! 👀📖 Because if we are going to pet the Bible and follow the Bible, then let's talk about what is actually written in it! David had multiple wives and concubines. Solomon had 700 wives and 300 concubines. Sarah gave her husband Abraham her handmaid, Hagar, to have a child with him. And these are just a few examples of what we read in the Bible. So at what point in Christianity did the standard change to one man and one woman? And why is the idea of a man having more than one wife so controversial today, especially when people are claiming that the arrangement is consensual and everybody involved is happy? Now, I understand that Christians interpret certain scriptures differently, and I know there are verses in the New Testament that people use to support monogamy. But my question is, why are some biblical practices accepted while others are treated like the ultimate sin? As for Pastor Israel Ford, his wife Lydia, and his second wife Shakayla, from what they have publicly shared, they appear happy with their arrangement. Who am I to tell consenting adults how to structure their relationship? I SUPPORT PEOPLE HAVING THE FREEDOM TO CHOOSE THE RELATIONSHIP THAT WORKS FOR THEM, once everybody is consenting, honest, and treated fairly. I am happy for them! But let me ask y'all something: Is the problem really what the Bible says, or is it what society has taught us the Bible should say? 👀 Let's talk, because I know this one going to cause a scene in the comments! 😂😂 #TheRealTalk #UncensoredUnapologetic #Christianity #BiblicalMarriage #Polygamy
