Why it worked

The video leverages the 'treasure hunt' appeal of Costco shopping, turning a simple product search into a relatable, low-stakes narrative that encourages viewers to check their local stores.

Summary

The creator goes on a shopping trip to Costco specifically to find a discounted 50-count case of Posca markers. After searching various aisles, she locates the markers in the toy section and successfully purchases them.

Structure

1Creator announces a deal on Posca markers at Costco
2Creator arrives at the store to search for the product
3Creator spots a different product, the Cricut Stickerpix

This was a fun morning excursion. $75 for 50 Posca markers is a great deal if you’re interested and have a Costco membership! #artsupplies #poscamarkers #costcodeals #shoppingvlog

Product placement

(a) Posca markers: The creator searches for, finds, and purchases a 50-count case of these markers at Costco. The product acts as the central subject of the shopping vlog. Removing it would change the entire premise of the video. (b) Costco: Appears as the retail location where the shopping occurs. Removing it would change the location but not the core product focus. (c) Cricut Stickerpix: Appears on a shelf and is briefly mentioned and shown by the creator. It does not act as the primary subject of the video. Removing it would not change the video's focus on the Posca markers.

So apparently some Costcos are selling this, like, big case of Posca markers for a really good deal. I'm gonna go see if mine has it. Fingers crossed. They have the new Cricut Stickerpix Print and cut. It's kind of cool. It says in stock at my warehouse, but I can't find it, and I've been down every aisle I can think, so I might have to ask, which I hate doing. It's in toys. I did not expect that. Got the goods. I'm so excited to open these.
