Day 790 of building a hard tech startup company and day 679 of research and development. As promised, we added a light diffusing cover to the dorsal side of the hand to prevent the LEDs from blinding you and to improve the overall cohesive aesthetic of the hand. The bionic hand functionality is about 90% complete, with only the thumbs flexion capability still undergoing finalization. In this video, you're going to see the hand running through its calibration startup function where it's going to cycle through each primary grip pattern before returning to its relaxed position, where it will then wait for an input from a user's nervous system. Next steps for the hand are to complete flexion of the thumb, receive our PCBs and begin firmware development for the medical grade version.
