NASA is developing robotic gripping systems capable of handling heavy, fragile and irregularly shaped objects in microgravity. Unlike on Earth, even a small push in space can send both the robot and the object drifting or spinning. These systems use sensors and real-time control to continuously adjust their grip, applying enough force to hold an object without damaging it. The technology could eventually help robots service satellites, move cargo, collect samples and support astronauts during future missions to the Moon and Mars. In space, strength alone is not enough. Robots need precision. #robotics #robots #artificialintelligence #nasa #space
