PSA: Avis will give you rental cars with expired plates and then won't pay the parking tickets

PSA: Avis will give you rental cars with expired plates and then won't pay the parking tickets. I am so close to losing my shit with Avis rental cars. They gave me a car with expired plates, so I get a parking citation for $50. I call Avis, they say we'll give you a new car, when you go to trade your car out they will take care of the ticket at the counter. I go trade my car out, I give them the ticket at the counter, they say we can't take care of this here, you have to call Avis customer service and they'll take care of it on the phone. Great, thank you, thank you for all of the help. The second car they gave me has a crack in the windshield, so I go trade it out again. The third car they gave me was filthy and hadn't been cleaned, but I took it because it seemed functional, so I took it and I left. A week later when I have COVID and I haven't left my room, my roommate lets me know there's a parking ticket on your windshield. And I have another parking citation for having a car with expired plates. What is going on? I have called Avis so many times now, I've spoken to so many people, I've been on hold for 40 minutes, an hour, an hour and 20 minutes, transferred around to all these different departments. It's Thursday, September 22nd, update: I finally got through to someone yesterday. They told me that they would not be paying for the tickets, and because they have my credit card information on file, they were going to be charging me for the cost of both of these $50 tickets. I'm at a loss. I don't know what to do. I don't normally come on TikTok and post something complaining about a company. This is a last resort. I still have a rental car with expired plates and now I am going to be charged for two $50 tickets because Avis rented me a car with expired plates? This is absolutely absurd. So, any suggestions?
