I'll be honest I debated gatekeeping this place but it is just too good to not share just to get this out of the way it is in Pentagon City and I know what you're about to say DC friends that there is no world in which you're going over to Pentagon City for anything but give me a little credit this place is worth it we're headed to Sparrow Room that's hidden right inside Bun'd Up bun'd up is a cool spot and people are somehow always playing ping pong over here but we are headed to the back we're going to Sparrow Room Sparrow Room is a speakeasy style restaurant and bar where you can learn how to play mahjong this feels like way more of an authentic speakeasy than any place I've been in DC they host mahjong classes that teach you all the basics of the game and mahjong itself is fairly easy to pick up I met these ladies during the class and we've been meeting up monthly to play if you're tired of the same basic bars and you're looking for a unique spot with good food check out Sparrow Room
