have you ever received a piece of advice that changed everything for you here's mine my boss at my first product management job connected me with one of the previous product managers there who now worked at Google we had many conversations where he shared his wisdom and he was a real mentor to me when I desperately needed one now when I was about to leave for my next job I shared with him my anxiety about going from being the only product manager to being one of many I asked him if I was ready and he responded with this he said Aaron remember if you argue from the customer's perspective "If you argue from the customer's perspective you'll never lose an argument" you'll never lose an argument that advice completely changed the way that I looked at product management ever since "If you argue from the customer's perspective you'll never lose an argument" it's not about being the loudest in the room it's about being the voice of the customer so no matter where you are in your career just remember to always put the customer first and you might just find that it's the key to winning any argument do you want to hear more about my journey from barista to product manager go check out my previous videos and follow me for more tips
