Excellent question here, right? How do I break into a product? How do I get started though? So four things come to mind here. First, just start by understanding the role. I have a video on the three books you need to read. You can also start out by reading my book. I just published the first two chapters on on a site called Leanpub. Check my bio for that link. Second, build those relevant skills, right? Business, tech and UX. My favorite way is to start a side project. I can go into more detail in another video if you're interested. The third is to network, right? Start by reaching out to people on LinkedIn or you could even start by reaching out to me, right? Just DM me here on TikTok. I also have two other videos that I made on on networking, so I'm happy to link those in the comments here. Fourth is to leverage your current role, right? I know this doesn't apply to everybody, but just see if you could start getting in on those product management meeting, like the strategy session, and just say you don't want to participate, you just want to be a fly on the wall and just sort of observe because you're interested in making the transition.
