Alright so side projects part two

Alright so side projects part two. The next thing that I would focus on is passion, right? And I think passion is sort of thrown out there too much as like, you definitely need to be passionate about every single thing that you do. I would argue that you don't need to be passionate about necessarily the business that you're starting or, you know, the the cool technology that you're using. You need to start being passionate about the problems that you're solving, right? So for instance, one of the side projects that I started was called Porcupines. And Porcupines was a reward system for breweries. And we started Porcupines by really diving deep into breweries problems. And I was passionate about breweries. I was like maybe I wanna start a brewery at some point. Um, I brewed my own beer. Uh, I really enjoy beer in general and and the whole culture around this whole, you know, especially when the craft beer community started. Um, and so I was like, you know what, let me see if I can work on something for breweries. And so I started diving deep into breweries problems. Um, it's not because I was passionate about brewers, it was because I was passionate about the industry and then I was passionate about solving a problem in that industry. So that's why I say get passionate about solving problems, not so much about the technology or, you know, the the specific industry or the specific solution that you have. Don't don't really ever get passionate about the solution that you have, um, cause those can change on on the drop of a hat, right? So get passionate about solving a problem. And one thing I'm really bad about is shamelessly plugging my stuff. So I go into a lot of this in my book, um, so please check out my book. And so specifically chapters one through four go over sort of the base skill set that you need as a product manager.
