This dood just sold his company for a nasty $50 million and it's all because switching between all your messaging apps is just a little too hard for you. Kishan is the founder of texts.com. Texts.com is basically an app that brings all your messaging apps into one dashboard. So if you get annoyed from your Instagram DMs to Discord, seeing what's happening on Signal or Slack, you can just go to one place now. The company that acquired them is called Automattic, which is owned by this savage of a dude who is the co-founder of WordPress. You know the company that powers about 40% of all the websites on the internet. So why did Matt acquire texts.com? He owns WordPress, which has a commerce component to it, and he owns Tumblr, which has a publishing component to it. Though this move was a way to get into an even larger market. He believes this is an area where consumers want more openness. Great thing is texts.com comes back with loaded features, end-to-end encryption, an AI assistant where it can summarize all your messages for you, and the ability to go stealth mode, schedule messages out, and silence those pesky friends that you don't necessarily need to respond to immediately. The amazing thing around all of this, Kishan only raised around a million dollars. So an exit of 50 mil is a damn good return. For all my founders out there, use this as inspiration and keep the amazing work up.
