if you were to ask me why i don't want kids... i'd say i can barely take care of myself and my dog after work, i don't know how parents do it but if you were to ask me on a deeper level... i'd say i have never felt the calling to be a mother. i see how exhausting, time consuming, and expensive it can be and cannot imagine having the money, time, and emotional capacity everyday to raise a child. not to mention childcare costs are insane and we cannot live on one income. i don't want to struggle mentally, physically, and financially. i know parents say it's worth it, and i believe it for those who truly want kids but that's not how i feel. i love my nephews and nieces (blood & chosen) and choose to spend the time, energy, and money i do have with them / supporting their moms instead.
