I found this list from travel and leisure very satisfying because it's the 15 most expensive tourist destinations. And in 2024, after we first visited Maine over July 4th weekend, I posted a story about how much we spent on the vacation and had stitched it and said, and this is why we went to Europe the couple years before, because I wanted to go to Europe before I spent that much on a trip in the U.S. And people were pissed at me, insinuating, like, you couldn't go to Maine and expensively. And for context, we drove up the coast. We did Portland, Camden area, and then Bar Harbor, Southwest Harbor, like, Acadia National Park area, and we like, road tripped up. You know what's on this list? Portland, Maine and Bar Harbor, Maine. Like, yes. Could we have gone less expensively if we had less expensive taste? Absolutely, but we wanted to go a certain way. And at the time, I was, like, new to creating, and I like, couldn't take the hate, and this is just really freaking satisfying for me. And we just moved to Portland, Maine for the summer on our nomad year, which we're literally just going to all high cost of living areas. We're in Portland now, then we're going to New York City, then we're going to San Diego. So, anyway, I just thought this was interesting. Let me know if you want me to reshare our videos breaking down our trip, but yeah.
