My husband and I just last month and we just hit $500,000 invested this year to date And and this is so crazy to me because neither of us from money or like understanding investing building wealth and we combined over six figure student loan debt that we still are working to pay off Also, most of this has accrued or done in the past four years because we really didn't start aggressively investing were 30 Again, in our 20s we had low pay and we really didn't know what we were doing I knew I wanted to build whatever that meant, but I just needed to earn more money, so in we focused on earning more money then a few months before 30th birthday, which we happened to be born like two We both got new jobs and increased our household income by $50,000 at one time. taking us from like 150,000 household income to $200,000 household income And when that happened. didn't like buy a new car, buy a We sat down, we made a plan, we knew we wanted to aggressively, which the beginning it was had the scarcity mindset and I was like, this is get taken away from us time and I want to have stashed away once it But regardless, I'm glad started And obviously the income and managing our expenses and then like educating investing helped Like we wouldn't be able without any of that But also, a major thing started and actually it even longer to get everything done with it, but was we automating everything We made the plan and automated Normally, like your comes out before you see it, so that's automated HSA also through your employer, automated But we did the same for our Roth IRA, so it was immediately sent over and then reinvested without us thinking This is crucial, I think, because life gets busy It's crazy I actually make it a point to not make my life crazy or when I can control it. a demanding job sometimes traveling all week and I got this text and this morning reminding me shares were bought, the investment happened it at all I was boarding an trying to get home And so, it's just like consistency and obviously, we waited until we made way and could do more at I don't recommend doing I recommend starting as as you can with less, feel like it's nothing helps you build the confidence in doing But regardless, also just to share, lot can happen in a amount of time if you're focused and you're working to earn more or whatever it you need to do And I truly think automation is such a game changer and highly recommend
