With the 10 year anniversary of Interstellar happening this December i wanted to share the story of my most recent watch pick up the Hamilton Murph Auto and yes it's named after Murph the character so earlier this year my dad had wanted to buy me a birthday present that was more like a heirloom present than any other typical birthday and knowing that I'm into watches he asked me for a recommendation and while yes I could have asked for a Rolex or something I don't think it's all that special personally um and so I settled on this watch because even in the Interstellar movie it's the watch that Cooper passes down to Murphy and choosing to receive this watch in the year that Interstellar hits its ten year anniversary was all the more special my only wish is that I would have been able to fit the 42 millimeter version of the watch which would have been a little bit bigger but unfortunately I don't have the wrist size for that so I ended up with the 38 millimeter which is slightly smaller the 42 millimeter version does have the word Eureka printed on the second hand in Morse code and I think that would have been even cooler call back to the movie itself the last thing was I did end up replacing the strap that the watch originally came with because it comes with a pretty stiff leather that I'm sure if you work in will end up becoming much more molded to your wrist but I wanted to be able to wear this right away and for the entire month of December and so I replaced it with a strap from Delugs and am able to wear it all the time now
