it's taken me a while but I'm finally gonna do a watch tour I only have five watches the cheapest is about 10 bucks and the most expensive is about ten grand but we'll get to the story of when and how I bought each of these in a row the watch that I think almost everyone has owned at some point in their life the Casio F84W or the F91W is a US version I basically only wear this when my Apple Watch dies and I need something to work out with the next is this Casio G Shock Rubik's Cube Edition uh I use to speedcube as a teenager which just means I solve Rubik's really fast this watch I wasn't able to buy in the US cause it sold out pretty quickly then when I went to India for a cousin's wedding I found this at a mall and was able to pick this up and I just think it's a watch that I would have really loved to own as a teenager it came out later it's just a reminder of those like good times in middle school and high school the comment that I'm responding to has the in depth story for this watch but the Hamilton Murph auto I bought because it was the ten year anniversary of Interstellar and my dad wanted to buy me an heirloom style present and so this Hamilton Murph auto just like fit both bills the perfect watch to buy in 2024 and I really cherish this as a gift from my dad getting to some more expensive watches now I have the Grand Seiko SBGA415 this is the winter out of their Four Seasons US collection I bought this when I first learned about a thyroid cancer diagnosis that I had the story behind the dial it's supposed to be like snow during a blizzard and a lot like a blizzard my life at that time had a lot of turmoil and I didn't really know like what this cancer diagnosis meant or how things were gonna turn out it's really served as a memento that I can handle hard things in life oh and I'm totally fine now by the way just so you know lastly I hit a career milestone and wanted something a little bit flashier so I picked up this Rolex Datejust 36 millimeter in the mint green dial and I specifically wanted this dial color because I didn't have a green dial in my wash collection and it also just happens to be like one of the more coveted pieces and I thought it was cool to own something that is harder to get it did take me nine months from walking into a dealership asking about this watch and then actually getting the email that it was available and that's just how like Rolex references are with the harder to get watches but my dealer was actually pretty upfront about how long it was gonna take and that if I wanted one specific reference number I was gonna have to wait longer and I was okay with that trade off an honorable mention when I'm traveling I usually carry my watches in this Feure Le Page watch case it looks like a Goyard case but it's a little bit cheaper I got this as a present and it just keeps my watches protected when I'm traveling for work or something and I wanna take a nicer watch with me
