I just finished my 234th user interview. Here’s 4 things I realized about this process 1/ Patterns emerge over time. The first few interviews feel random. By the 30th, trends start forming. By the 234th, some insights become impossible to ignore. 2/ Honest feedback is gold. Polite answers won’t improve the product. The best insights come from users who tell you exactly what’s frustrating them. 3/ The right question matters. Reduce your bias to discover what users truly want. "What do you wish was easier?" often works better than "What do you think of this amazing feature?" 4/ People want to be heard. At the end of the day, users appreciate when you truly listen. What does it mean to truly listen? Focus on their answers, ask follow-up questions, and update them on how their feedback is shaping the product. 234 interviews in, and I know one thing for sure: We need to stay curious and never assume we have all the answers. #startup #userinterviews #founder
