you know I really thought life would get after landing a high paying internship a year ago a year ago when I was just starting college as a freshman as a freshman my biggest fear was getting left behind in the race of life so like most other freshman that fear drove me to relentlessly hunt internship I leet coded and I coffee chatted and I sacrificed my own personal for these for these roles that are seen by society traditionally successful and eventually thank god I got an offer but I'm only a month into working this job but I'm only a month into working this job with good pay and I'm realizing is this really what I wanna be doing I'm working at a startup I do technically have more personal agency than I would if I was working at faang if I was working at faang or some other 9 to 5 but because I'm making good money I have a backup plan to fall on if the many projects I'm working on don't pan out now this might seem like a good thing but the psychological effect of this on I don't dedicate enough time to creative endeavors since I feel comfortable because of my salary safety net I know creators and builders out there who are already my age who are pouring in 16 17 hours 17 hours per day into their craft this is because but partially also because and that's exactly what I want to be all in if you're able to take anything away from my store just know that for those traditionally forms of success you chase money job whatever it may be the grass isn't always greener on the other side embark on personal journeys that are fulfilling to you and don't quit no matter how embarrassing the scrutiny from society or your peers gets follow along so we can figure this out together
