Here are the top Fidelity index funds everyone should know about. First, we have the Fidelity 500 Index Fund, otherwise known as FXAIX. This index fund seeks to track the S&P 500 index, which is an index of the 500 largest companies in the United States. It currently holds 507 of the top US companies, many of which you will recognize. The expense ratio to own this index fund is only 0.015%, which means you would only pay 15 cents for every $1,000 that you invest. This fund has performed very well in the past 1 to 10 years. Next up, we have FS KAX, otherwise known as the Fidelity Total Market Index Fund. This index fund seeks to track the growth of the entire US stock market. Instead of holding the top 500, this index fund holds every single company in the US stock market. It has a super low expense ratio as well, and it's performed pretty well in the past.
