democrats need to admit why they lost!

Look, Democrats have to be honest about why we lost the last election to Trump if we want to win a future one. Apparently the DNC is producing an autopsy report that focuses more on the role of outside groups in the election rather than what Biden and Harris did wrong. And there's like five things that I think the campaign's fucked up, but we gotta be totally open about. First is that Biden shouldn't have run because he's way too old. That was apparent in the polling for years, and he just didn't take it seriously. Second, it took him four weeks after his disastrous debate to actually drop out of the race, and that was critical time during the heat of the general election. The third key thing is that we didn't actually hold a, a cycle or an election figure out who to replace Biden with. We just appointed Harris. And Biden, of course, didn't set her up for success. She never had a key role in the administration. She never had any wins. And she probably wasn't the right candidate to run. Fourth, even though Harris wasn't set up for success, she ran a terrible campaign. I hate hearing Democrats constantly say that Harris ran a great campaign. She didn't. She had a golden period after Biden dropped out where everybody was so excited to see her, and she squandered that opportunity. She never introduced herself to the American people in the right way. She didn't meet enough with regular people. She didn't take enough press interviews. She didn't respond to the criticism about her that she wasn't smart enough, where she wasn't qualified enough. She had all of those narratives pushed by Republicans to dominate. And substantively, she didn't actually talk about the core things that Americans cared about. It was clear in polling for years that the two things on Americans' mind were inflation and affordability and immigration, and Biden and Harris, too little and too late there. And if you actually look at her campaign, all of her policies were kind of handouts to people. She had this really embarrassing pitch to African American men where there was like tax breaks for cannabis. That's not what fucking Black men care about. They care about being able to afford a home, being able to pay down their student debt, being able to afford healthcare in an emergency, and she didn't have any plans to show how she was gonna make life more affordable for Americans and deal with the things that matter. That's why Democrats lost the election. It wasn't because outside groups sent a billion dollars. It was because Harris and Biden fucked up and we gotta be open
