The other side of studying Computer Science you don't often hear about There are incredible opportunities Despite what the internet says, it is still one of the most valuable skills in the industry. Technology is only going to grow from here. It is extremely difficult to learn but that's what makes it so valuable. Not everyone can code an app up on a whim. You realise nothing is too hard to learn The thought of studying computer science seems impossible at first but once you push through, nothing is too hard. You gain the confidence to consistently push your limits of learning every time. Learning to embrace Imposter Sydndrome You realise everyone feels out of place and that's okay. The new intern feels unqualified, yet the senior software engineer feels out of touch with new AI technologies. You never escape it but instead you gain a newfound confidence to embrace it. You'll meet an incredible network It isn't all doom and gloom where you're stuck in a room, looking at code all day. There is always collaboration required in software, having to work in teams or those late nights helping your friends code. It is surprisingly social. You'll also get to meet some of the most smartest & ambitious people out there. You gain insane problem solving skills You'll spend hours, maybe even days solving the most meaningless bugs and issues in code. But you learn patience, willpower and gain the ability to solve almost any problem in life. It's hard but the other side is worth all the pain and more Computer Science is definitely one of the hardest things you can pursue but I would be lying if I said it isn't one of the most fulfilling careers if you're willing to push through. You'll be able to see and do incredible things, learn things you've never thought possible and gain a completely new way of thinking.
