Let's go through the differences between Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science and Cyber Security. Computer Science is usually a course that is done at university, meaning that something that I don't see a lot of bootcamps doing separate programs. So if you want to do Computer Science, you go to a university, right? What you cover there is a lot of computational history, the fundamentals of computing, a lot of math stuff. You learn a lot of like data structures, Python, Java. It focuses a little more on just learning the basics, the basic foundation of computing. All the graduates end up in one of the three fields, either Software Engineering, Data Science or Cyber Security. Software Engineering is where you build programs, algorithms for specific set of clients. Whether you're doing full stack web development, mobile development, desktop development, right, they all fall under Software Engineering. Data Science is where you're deriving insights from business data. For example, if you have a company that wants to run a campaign, you can then use the data of the campaign to see if the campaign is successful or not, right? So that's an example of Data Science. I mean, Data Science is driving is going a bit more technical now in things like machine learning algorithms, predictive modelling for certain part of the business, etcetera. Then we have Cyber Security. This one is as simple as breaking into systems that are built, you're exposing their vulnerabilities and helping those companies secure their systems. Or you can even go and Cyber Security has blue teaming and red teaming. Blue teaming is more on defensive Cyber Security, red teaming falls more towards attacking, right? So those are two different types of Cyber Security paths, but otherwise that's just a small explanation of what the three main fields are.
