How to do your curly hair routine in the right order. So first you need to style your hair soaking wet. Even if you're fresh out the shower, make sure to have a spray bottle handy to keep your hair as wet as possible. Now we're going to start with our creams to lock in moisture and protect from heat. I start with a leave-in conditioner all over, brushing that through detangled hair. My favorite detangling brush is from Tangle Teezer. Now you want to section your hair in half and clip this side away. Now to add definition, start with a curl cream. Now to really enhance your curls, take small sections and brush style. I'm using the Bounce Curl brush. After your cream is when you add your gel, your mousse, your jelly. To make my curls last long, I like to finish with a gel. The cast from a gel helps reduce frizz and lock in your style and moisture. I'm just going to scrunch this in. Now you're just going to repeat this all over. I like to do the top part of my hair in three sections: the left side, the right side, and then the middle. For me, mousse gives more of a flexible hold and some volume, so I like to add some around my face-framing pieces, like right here. Now you can air dry, diffuse, or plop your hair. Now to break your gel cast and lock in moisture, add an oil to your curls. I like to just scrunch this in. And now you have a curly hair routine.
