Here's my advice as a moderately successful entrepreneur in New York City: get over yourself. Like, literally, get over yourself. If you want to do something new, if you want to change your life, if you want to start that business, if you want to become a blogger, if you want to write that book, if you want to host that event, whatever, you have to get over yourself. And this is what I mean by that. The number of dreams that have not been realized because somebody is too embarrassed to even try or to put themselves out there are probably, I don't know, hundreds of millions. And the number of people who've died of embarrassment, as far as I know, is zero. At the beginning, it might just be you who's very into your idea. That is how it was at the Art Cafe at Happy Medium. I swear to God, there was probably like a six-month period of me and my co-founder, Rhett, working the Art Cafe, and all weekend we'd maybe have three people come in. And you know what? We talked about it anyway. We thought it was a great idea. We believed in it. We put it out there. That, there's like a visceral pain almost when you're doing something and you're the only one to believe in it, and you have to push through that. And to do that, you just have to get over yourself. So, that's my advice for anybody who wants to pick my brain. Get over yourself and just put your ideas and put your experiments into the world, try things, change it, and like, just be so authentically true to your vision and your passions that it doesn't even matter. And then eventually, you'll figure out how to market it the right way, and there's definitely you're not unique, other people in the world are going to love it, and then it's going to be a smashing success. Like that for Happy Medium now, like it's hard for me to remember, but now I'm feeling it because of this new book launch, that there was a time when like nobody knew who we were. And all it took was persistence. So, get over yourself, hit publish on that thing that you want to do today, and let me know how it goes. Good luck.
