Does email marketing actually "work"? I would rather have 400,000 unread emails than ever click on one email from a brand as a consumer. However, now I'm a founder, and the data suggests that email marketing works. I simply can't believe this data because I feel like it's paid for by big email, because who the fuck sees an email coming in from a brand and gets warm and fuzzy inside and wants to click on it when we have 10 billion other things, other stimulants hitting our brains and our phones all the time? *big breath* But I'm trying to learn that I might be wrong. So if you even have an ounce of positive connotation or even neutrality towards email marketing as a consumer, let me know.
