So we bought the worst house on the best street. So this whole project started, we were like, we're gonna DIY this. We are so handy, we can do all things. We can use a saw. But really, it was like, oh my god, no idea. We went and bought the tools and then we're like, oh my god, what if we cut ourselves? Feels like that we just like opened a can of worms. Is that the saying? Pandora's box. Feels like we were gonna be doing this, it's gonna be like a pre-Christmas thing. Yesterday, when we started doing demo and we knocked down the walls and we ripped up the carpet, we realized that our main bathroom has also been leaking and the bathroom is leaking into the carpet, also wasn't waterproofed, also asbestos in the flooring, not ideal apparently. The back room is where we've discovered a lot of mould. The floorboards are rotten. Floorboards was like already starting to cave in, it's very weak. Like why don't people tell you about house renovations? Why don't people tell you about what the realities are of home ownership? Home ownership. Anyway, let's talk about Naomee. So Naomee is amazing. Naomee is like my construction fairy godmother. Naomee slips into my DMs and the next thing you know we're in her showroom in Liverpool. Naomee is now running the show. This is the house of Hardy project. Let's discuss the vision. The vision is like you feel really comfy, you wanna be in the room. There's like blush, like dusty blush walls. There's like nice bedding, like silk bedding. We're thinking creams, blush, velvet, soft teddy fabrics, warm moldings, cornices. It's like nice soft serenity, calm, soothing, neutral tones. Anyway, so Naomee is now running the show. She's telling all the guys what's up, she's keeping everyone in check, she's keeping things moving. And then, which is where it gets tricky is because of the leak in the bathroom, apparently we need to rip the whole bathroom out, which wasn't part of the budget, wasn't part of the plan, definitely can't happen on this side of Christmas. So anyway, worst house on the best street.
